Nishiyama Dam

Nishiyama Dam is a gravity dam in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, built for power production. Construction began in 1954 and the dam opened in 1957. It stands 40.6 meters tall and is 112.3 meters long. The reservoir covers 24 hectares and can hold about 2.38 million cubic meters of water, fed by a 192-square-kilometer catchment area. Coordinates: 35°34′11″N 138°17′59″E.
