Newland Creek

Newland Creek is a small stream in northwest Missouri, running through Andrew and Nodaway counties. It is about 8.4 miles long. The creek begins in White Cloud Township in Nodaway County, southwest of Barnard, at roughly 1,100 feet above sea level. It flows generally south-southwest in a fairly straight path until it reaches Arapahoe Creek in Clay Township, at about 863 feet elevation. Newland Creek is a right tributary of Arapahoe Creek and joins it about 5.2 miles before Arapahoe Creek feeds the Nodaway River. From there, water travels to the Nodaway River, then the Missouri River, the Mississippi River, and finally the Atlantic Ocean.
