E. Dewey Graham

Edward Dewey Graham (May 18, 1898 – December 5, 1967) was an American college football and baseball player and coach. He was born in Kittery, Maine, and grew up in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where he captained the Portsmouth High School football team in 1914. He played college football at the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts (which became the University of New Hampshire in 1923) and was captain of the 1919 team. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from New Hampshire in 1922.

Graham served in the U.S. Navy from 1917 to 1919. He later joined the U.S. Army in 1922, serving first in coastal artillery and then in field artillery. He was the commander of coastal defense in the Netherlands Antilles Command from 1940 to 1945 and retired with the rank of colonel.

As a coach, Graham was the head football coach at Norwich University from 1926 to 1930. He also coached football at New Hampshire in 1921 (freshmen/line) and at Montpelier High School in Vermont from 1922 to 1925. He coached Norwich baseball from 1926 to 1931.

Graham died on December 5, 1967, in Providence, Rhode Island.
