Kelly Betteridge
Kelly Anne Betteridge (born 1969) is a British Anglican bishop and the Bishop of Basingstoke, a suffragan bishop in the Diocese of Winchester. She previously served as Archdeacon of Bodmin in the Diocese of Truro from May 2021 to October 2025. She studied education and theology at Roehampton Institute, earning a BA in 1992. Betteridge worked as a youth and children's worker and then for the evangelical mission agency CPAS. She trained for ordination at Queen's College, Birmingham, and was ordained deacon in 2010 and priest in 2011. Her curacy was at St Nicolas Church, Nuneaton (Diocese of Coventry) from 2010 to 2014; she then became vicar of St Nicolas and priest-in-charge of Weddington and Caldecote. In January 2021 it was announced she would become Archdeacon of Bodmin, and she was licensed on 23 May 2021 at St Petroc's Church, Bodmin. She also directed intergenerational church initiatives for the diocese. She was consecrated as a bishop on 15 October 2025 and became Bishop of Basingstoke that day, in a service at Southwark Cathedral led by Sarah Mullally, Bishop of London.
