Thomas Jeter (fencer)
Thomas Powers Jeter (August 25, 1898 – October 23, 1979) was an American fencer and U.S. Navy officer. Born in Florence, Alabama, he competed in the individual and team foil events at the 1924 Summer Olympics. In World War II, he served as a naval officer and pilot in the Pacific, earning the Legion of Merit in 1944 for his leadership aboard the USS Bunker Hill. Jeter died in San Diego, California.
