New Durham Township is one of 21 townships in LaPorte County, Indiana. It covers about 36.06 square miles in total (35.96 land and 0.1 water) and sits at an elevation of about 830 feet. As of the 2020 census, 8,105 people lived there in 2,351 housing units, down from 8,664 in 2010.

The name comes from an early settler who was from Durham, New York. A notable landmark is the Pinhook Methodist Church and Cemetery, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

New Durham Township is served by the Westville-New Durham Township Public Library. Residents can also obtain a free library card from any La Porte County Public Library branch.
