Nemophila pedunculata is a common annual wildflower found across western North America. Also known as littlefoot nemophila or meadow nemophila, it grows close to the ground with a fleshy stem and thick, bristly leaves. The flowers are small (about 1 cm wide) and bell-shaped, and they come in many colors. While some flowers are blue, most are white with blue markings such as streaks or speckles, and sometimes there is a purple spot at the tip of each petal. Its natural habitats include ocean bluffs, moist open areas, and grasslands.
