Muhammad Nasir Dar was a Pakistan Air Force officer who died during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. He was posthumously awarded the Sitara-e-Basalat for bravery. Dar joined the Air Force and became a squadron leader in the late 1960s. His batch mate Hakimullah later became Air Chief Marshal, serving as Chief of the Pakistan Air Force from 1988 to 1991. Dar served in the Signals branch and was stationed at the Sargodha air base. On the night of December 22, 1971, Indian air raids hit the engineering facility there. Dar continued to work despite the danger and was killed along with his junior colleague Flight Lieutenant Wasim. He is remembered as one of the Pakistan Air Force’s legendary falcons.
