Georg Vasilyevich Myasnikov (born 20 March 1926 in Kopovka, died 18 July 1996 in Moscow) was a Soviet state figure, historian and local history expert. He held senior roles in the Penza Oblast CPSU committee (second secretary from 1961 to 1964 and again from 1965 to 1986, secretary from 1964 to 1965) and later led cultural work as first deputy chairman of the Soviet Culture Fund (1986–1991) and deputy chairman of the Russian Culture Fund (1991–1992).

Myasnikov helped create many cultural projects, such as museums and monuments, as well as sports facilities, youth clubs, and recreation areas, which improved the Penza region’s reputation. In his work with the culture fund, he supported the opening of new museums, charitable funds, and a publishing branch, and he promoted international cultural connections and the return of cultural values to the USSR. He wrote several articles, two books about Penza Oblast, and a diary that was partly published after his death. A plaque honoring him was placed at a Penza secondary school after his death. He received several awards.
