Naga Viper pepper
Naga Viper is an extremely hot chili pepper from Cumbria, England. It was created by Gerald Fowler of the Chilli Pepper Company in Cark, England, as an unstable cross of Naga Morich, Bhut Jolokia (ghost pepper), and Trinidad Scorpion. In 2011, Guinness World Records named it the world’s hottest chili, reaching about 1,382,118 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Since then, it has been surpassed by hotter peppers, first the Carolina Reaper in 2017, and later Pepper X in 2023.
