Rimini Rimini
Rimini Rimini is a 1987 Italian comedy film directed by Sergio Corbucci. It’s an anthology with five episodes, all set on the beaches of Rimini. The cast includes Paolo Villaggio, Serena Grandi, Jerry Calà, Andrea Roncato and Paolo Bonacelli.
The stories include:
- A moralistic magistrate who shuts down red-light districts, but is photographed in a compromising moment with sex goddess Lola.
- A wealthy woman who believes her husband has drowned.
- A priest who ends up in a scandalous situation with a topless nun.
- A shy girl who falls in love.
- A poor worker who must do menial jobs to keep his job.
A sequel, Rimini Rimini - Un anno dopo, came out in 1988 and was directed by Bruno Corbucci. The theatrical cut runs 114 minutes, with an extended TV version of about 210 minutes. The theme song, "Rimini Splash Down," was produced by La Bionda and performed by Righeira.
