Mylothrites pluto is an extinct butterfly from the Late Miocene. Fossils have been found in Öhningen, on the border of Germany and Switzerland. When first discovered, Oswald Heer placed it in the genus Vanessa as Vanessa pluto. Later, Samuel Scudder created a new genus for it, naming it Mylothrites, so the species is now called Mylothrites pluto. It belongs to the butterfly family Nymphalidae.
