Murder Prevention is a British crime drama that aired on Five in 2004. Created and written by Declan Croghan, the six‑part series follows a police unit led by DCI Patrick Goddard as they try to stop murders before they happen. They use science and strong police instincts to gather evidence of intent and arrest would‑be killers early. Croghan has called the show the first pre‑crime drama. The series, produced by World Productions, stars Conor Mullen as Goddard, with Mark Lewis Jones, Sean Gallagher, Tom Brooke, Michael Smiley and Sarah Smart in supporting roles. It was broadcast from 30 October to 4 December 2004, originally as three two‑part stories (later aired as three longer episodes). A planned 2006 DVD release through Target Media never happened, so the series remains unavailable on DVD.
