Mount Gurage is a mountain in central Ethiopia. It is the highest point in the Gurage Zone and in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region, standing about 3,900 meters tall. To the north is the village of Anige, and to the east is Bu'i.

Geology and landscape: The mountain is part of an upwarped block of rock that overlooks the Rift Valley. It is made up of layers of silicic lava and tuffs, with the summit line hidden by Rift Valley tuffs.

Hydrology: Mount Gurage lies on the divide between the drainage basins of the Awash and the Omo rivers. The headwaters of the Omo are in the central highlands near Gurage and Nekemte. The Bilate River begins on the mountain’s southern slope, and the Gidabo River flows down the eastern slope. The Bilate basin is volcanic and contains lake-filled maars and tuff rings dating to the Pleistocene or Holocene.

People: The Aleta people live south of the Gidabo River, and the area is part of the homeland of the Sidama people.
