Oechse
Oechse (also Öchse) is a river in Thuringia, Germany. It rises on the western slope of the Baier in the Rhön Mountains, about 714 meters above sea level, and flows generally north through Oechsen and Völkershausen to Vacha, where it empties into the Werra. Its main tributaries are the Sünna and the Marbach. The Sünna is the largest tributary and joins at Vacha; it flows around the Dietrich and Oechsen mountains to the west, while the Oechse runs to the east of them. The Marbach starts on the western slope of Sachsenburg and is the other significant tributary. From the Werra, the water continues into the Weser and then the North Sea.
