Highlands Preserve
Highlands Preserve, formerly San Cap Park, is a 224-acre county park in West Milford Township, Passaic County, New Jersey, off Union Valley Road. It borders Abram S. Hewitt State Forest.
The park has a baseball field and three softball fields in an area leased and maintained by the town of West Milford. The rest of the park is designed for passive recreation, including hiking trails that connect to the nearby state forest.
Parking is available on-site in the area leased by West Milford. NJ Transit Bus Route 197 serves the park along Warwick Turnpike.
In April 2017, Passaic County began working with the New York - New Jersey Trail Conference to map a 5-mile network of trails with wayfinding signs and ADA-accessible paths.
