Moorish Woman Leaving the Bath
Moorish Woman Leaving the Bath (French: Femme mauresque sortant du bain) is an 1856 oil painting by French artist Théodore Chassériau. It measures 67 cm by 54 cm and has an Orientalist mood, mixing genre painting with nude art. The scene shows a young woman from a harem drying herself after a Turkish bath. It is sometimes called Interior of a Harem, a title Chassériau used for an earlier painting. The work belongs to the Louvre but has been on long-term loan to the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Strasbourg.
