The Ministry of Works and Transport is a cabinet‑level government ministry in Uganda. It plans, develops, and maintains efficient transport infrastructure and services for roads, rails, waterways, and air. It also oversees public works, government buildings, and sets construction standards.
Headquarters: The ministry’s offices are located at the corner of Jinja Road and Old Port Bell Road in Kampala.
Leadership: The ministry is headed by a Cabinet Minister. The current minister is Katumba Wamala.
Projects: Through its affiliated agencies, the ministry oversees major construction projects across the country.
