Mexican Girl
Mexican Girl is a song by the British rock band Smokie from their 1978 album The Montreux Album. It was the album’s third and final single, released on September 8, 1978, and later included on the album when it came out in October. The song is 3:57 long, was released on RAK Records, and was written by Chris Norman and Smokie’s drummer Pete Spencer, with production by Mike Chapman. It reached No. 1 in Germany. The B-side of the single is “You Took Me by Surprise.” In 2000, Chris Norman released a solo version as a European CD maxi-single, as the second single from his eleventh studio album Full Circle.
