Stéphanie Nicolle
Stéphanie Nicolle is a Jersey lawyer who served as HM Solicitor General for Jersey from 1994 to 2008. She studied at the Convent of the Faithful Companions of Jesus in Jersey and then at St Aidan's College, Durham. Nicolle qualified as a lawyer at Gray's Inn in 1976 and joined the Jersey Bar in 1978. She was a Crown Advocate from 1986 to 1994, before being appointed HM Solicitor General. In 1995 she became a Queen's Counsel in Jersey. After leaving the Solicitor General's office in 2008, she was Adjunct Professor of Immovable Property at Jersey's Institute of Law, retiring in 2012. Nicolle wrote two books: The Jersey Law of Property (1991, with P. Matthews) and The Origin and Development of Jersey Law (1998).
