Telchin is a genus of moths in the Castniidae family. It belongs to the animal kingdom, the arthropod phylum, the insect class, and the Lepidoptera order. The genus was named by Hübner around 1825. It has several synonyms: Graya (Buchecker, 1876; preoccupied), Leucocastnia (Houlbert, 1918), and Erythrocastnia (Houlbert, 1918). Sometimes Castniomera atymnius is included in Telchin.
