Metashape, formerly Agisoft PhotoScan, is a photogrammetry tool that turns photos into 3D models. It comes in Standard and Pro editions: Standard is enough for interactive media tasks, while Pro targets GIS work. Developed by Agisoft LLC in St. Petersburg, Russia, it is widely used by archaeologists and many drone companies, and is a leading tool in research. The software is sold as a perpetual license and offers extensive customization and scripting options. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
