Hani Bahjat Tabbara

Hani Bahjat Tabbara, born in 1939, is a Jordanian retired diplomat. He joined the Jordanian government service in 1963. From 1971 to 1973 he was Counselor at the Jordanian embassy in London, and from 1973 to 1976 he served as Minister Plenipotentiary in London.

He held several ambassadorial posts:
- Rabat, Morocco (1977–1980)
- Bucharest, Romania (1980–1982); concurrently accredited in East Berlin starting March 26, 1981
- Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (1982–1984)
- London, United Kingdom (1984–1986)
- Ankara, Turkey (1987–September 1, 1988)
- East Berlin, German Democratic Republic (September 1, 1988–October 3, 1990)
- Canberra, Australia (1994–1998)

Later positions include:
- Inspector General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1999–2001)
- Secretary General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2001–2003)
- Appointed a member of the Senate (2003–2005)

Personal details: he is married to Wafa and has two sons. He studied at the University of Alexandria.
