Mennonites in El Salvador

Two Mennonite groups are in El Salvador. The Iglesia Menonita de El Salvador is based in Metapán, Chalatenango. The second group, Iglesia Evangélica Menonita, is part of the Beachy Amish denomination. El Salvador has the second-largest Mennonite population in Central America after Belize. In 2012, the Evangelical Mennonite Church of El Salvador had 13 congregations and 515 members, while the Evangelical Mennonite Church of the Beachy Amish had 10 congregations and 198 members.
