Ciracas
Ciracas is a district (kecamatan) in East Jakarta, Indonesia. It is the southernmost district in Jakarta. It covers 16.08 square kilometers and sits about 61 meters above sea level. As of 2018, around 279,628 people lived there, with a density of about 17,600 people per square kilometer. The district is governed by a camat (district mayor) named Musa Syafrudin. Ciracas is bordered by the Cipinang River to the west and south, the Jagorawi Toll Road to the east, and Kelapa Dua Wetan Road to the north. Part of the Cibubur Scout camping ground lies within Ciracas, though the main campsite is in the neighboring Cipayung district. Historically, Ciracas was part of Meester Cornelis during the Dutch colonial era. In 1976, Ciracas became part of Pasar Rebo subdistrict in East Jakarta. In 1991, Pasar Rebo was split into two districts, Pasar Rebo and Ciracas, creating Ciracas as a separate district. The district is divided into five administrative villages (kelurahan).
