Lavant Viaduct
The Lavant Viaduct, or Talübergang Lavant in German, is a motorway bridge on Austria’s A2 in Carinthia. It crosses the Lavant River and is 1,097 meters long and about 165 meters high, making it the second-highest bridge in Austria. The first (left) bridge opened on 26 July 1986. Because of cost-cutting, the second (right) bridge was not built at first, and the Bad Sankt Leonhard im Lavanttal–Wolfsberg section opened with only the left bridge. Construction of the right-hand side began in 2004 and finished in 2007. Coordinates: 46°55′16″N 14°50′22″E.
