Roller Coaster is the second studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Scott Cain, released on 11 October 2004 on the ABC Kids label. The pop/children’s album runs about 48 minutes and was produced by Nick Howard and Cain. It follows Cain’s 2002 debut, Controlled Folly, and Cain wrote all the songs on Roller Coaster, more than on his first album.

The songs are meant to be relatable to kids—covering topics like crushes, hanging out, and enjoying life—with many tracks tied to skateboarding. The track “Hilary Duff” was released to radio with a music video but was not issued as a commercial single. “Perfect Day” also appears on Roller Coaster, having previously appeared on Controlled Folly, and “Step Into My World” was first released on a 2003 Roadshow compilation.

Despite poor sales, the album helped Cain revive his career a little, earning some airplay and leading to an opening slot for Hilary Duff on her Australian tour. The track “Don’t Stop Rollin’” is noted for popularizing the phrase “Chafeboard! Watch out!” Roller Coaster is now out of print and was removed from ABC’s site soon after its release. In 2005, an independent distributor in Japan released it with five bonus tracks, boosting its popularity in the country’s children’s market.
