Chattogram Royals is a professional Twenty20 cricket team from Chattogram that competes in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). They play their home games at the Bir Shrestha Shahid Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chattogram. The BPL began in 2012, and a Chattogram-based franchise has taken part in every season. The team currently goes by Chattogram Royals for the 2025–26 season, after a series of name changes and ownership changes over the years. In December 2025, the Bangladesh Cricket Board took control of the franchise.

History and name changes
The franchise started in 2012 as Chittagong Kings. In 2015, the team became Chattogram Vikings, a name it kept until 2018. In 2019, the league was restructured and the team was renamed Chattogram Challengers under new ownership. After a brief period of ownership changes and rebranding, SQ Sports reacquired the team in 2024 and it was revived as Chattogram Challengers again. For the 2025 season it was renamed Chattogram Royals, and later in December 2025 the BCB took over the franchise.

Performance
Chittagong Kings/Vikings/Chattogram Challengers/Royals have not won a BPL title yet, but they were runners-up in 2013 and 2025. The 2013 final saw Mahmudullah Riyad lead the squad, with Khaled Mahmud coaching, and the team reached the final but lost to Dhaka Gladiators.

Current squad
The 2025–26 lineup includes captain Mahedi Hasan, along with players like Shoriful Islam, Naim Sheikh, and Mukidul Islam. Overseas players include Mirza Tahir Baig, Cameron Delport, Adam Rossington, Kamran Ghulam, and Asif Ali, forming a mix of local and international talents.

Chattogram Royals remain a prominent team representing Chattogram in the BPL, continuing the city’s cricketing presence in Bangladesh’s top T20 competition.
