Mary Uranta is a Nigerian actress, producer, model, singer, and businesswoman. She was born and raised in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and grew up with seven siblings and four step-brothers. She attended Sacred Heart Nursery and Primary School and Holy Rosary Girls Secondary School, where she developed a love for dance and acting and earned a Dance and Drama scholarship. She later studied Secretarial Administration at Rivers State University of Science and Technology and earned a postgraduate diploma in Theatre from the London School of Arts Academy. She also competed in Miss Niger Delta, finishing as first runner-up.

Uranta began acting with a small role in Girls Hostel (2000) and gained wider attention in Secret Mission (2006). She has appeared in numerous Nollywood films, including Tea or Coffee, Tears of a Princess, Love Doctor, Critical Passion, Pradah, Secret Shadow, and Blood Game.

Beyond acting, she founded 50th Academy, a film production company, and the Mary Uranta Foundation to help deprived children in Opobo, Rivers State. Her work has earned her the African Youth Ambassador Award (2011), a Best of Nollywood Award nomination for Mistress (2012), and the City People Award for Best Actress (2013).
