Marcos Dias
Marcos Domingos Dias (born 30 November 2001) is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward for New England Revolution II in MLS Next Pro.
Dias came through the Palmeiras youth system, where he helped win the 2018 Under-17 Club World Cup and the 2019 U20 Paulistão. In March 2020 he joined Vasco da Gama’s youth teams, playing for the U20 side and signing contracts that kept him at the club through 2022 (with a €40 million release clause) and then through 2023. He scored 21 goals in 87 appearances for Vasco’s U20s and won the U20 Copa de Brasil, U20 Carioca and Supercopa de Brasil in 2020.
In January 2022 he joined New England Revolution II on loan through December, though his arrival was delayed until April because of visa issues. The deal included a 50% obligation to buy if he met certain performance targets. He made his debut on 1 May 2022 against Inter Miami II and scored his first goal on 14 May 2022 against Toronto FC II. In October 2022 New England II agreed to purchase him outright for the 2023 season.
After the 2025 season, Dias was named MLS Next Pro Playmaker of the Year and was selected for the MLS Next Pro Best XI. Personal life: he has a daughter born in August 2021.
