Alistair Casey
Alistair Casey, born 23 February 1981 in Glasgow, Scotland, is a Scottish professional badminton player. He has been active since 1999. Casey is right-handed, 1.70 m tall, and weighs about 69 kg. His highest world rankings were: singles No. 62 (16 September 2009), doubles No. 92 (2 September 2011), and mixed doubles No. 171 (30 April 2015). He competed in the World Championships in 2007 and 2011; in 2011 he was eliminated in the first round. That year he was runner-up at the Mexico International and reached the semi-finals of the Suriname International. In 2012 he won the Botswana and South Africa Internationals. Casey later coached the United States Olympic team at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games and was the coach and team leader for USA Badminton at the 2020 Tokyo Games. He is also the coach of the Polytechnic School Badminton team, which competes in the CIF Southern Section.
