Sharon Everitt
Sharon Everitt is an American film and television director, producer, and editor based in Los Angeles. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, she studied at Butler University and has been active in the industry since 2003. Her work spans comedy, music, and performance, and she has earned three Emmy nominations (2013, 2014).
Notable projects include directing the CBS reboot After Midnight with host Taylor Tomlinson, and directing the first season of That’s My Time with David Letterman for Netflix during the 2022 Netflix Is a Joke festival. She directed the pilot of One Perfect Shot for HBO Max with Ava DuVernay in 2022.
Everitt’s feature work includes the sci‑fi short Polybius, which premiered at Fantastic Fest in 2019. In 2018 she directed the short Brentwood, which won Best Short Film at the Independent Film Showcase in Los Angeles in 2019 and screened at the Mill Valley Film Festival. She also directed The High Court on Comedy Central, featuring Doug Benson with guests such as Tiffany Haddish, Michael Ian Black, and Reggie Watts.
She served as executive producer for Disney Christmas specials on ABC from 2011 to 2013 and has edited numerous comedy and music videos, including several for Taylor Swift. In December 2018 NBC announced her as a member of the NBC Alternative Directors Program in its inaugural year. Everitt has worked on World of Dance and The Wall, and directed brand spots for Disney Parks and the LA County Fair.
