María Antonia Iglesias González (15 January 1945 – 29 July 2014) was a Spanish writer and journalist. Born in Madrid, she was the daughter of Antonio Iglesias Álvarez, a pianist and musicologist. She studied at the Escuela Oficial de Periodismo and worked as a journalist from 1968 to 2013 for publications such as Informaciones, Triunfo, Tiempo, Interviú, and El País. A Catholic, she publicly said she did not agree with many attitudes of the Catholic Church. Iglesias died in Panxón, Nigrán, Galicia, at the age of 69. She had one child.
