Mahoning, Ohio
Mahoning was a small, now-lost community in Portage County, Ohio. It stood where North Main Street meets Ohio State Route 82 in northern Windham Township, just north of the village of Windham. The name comes from a Delaware word meaning "salt lick." A post office operated there from 1878 to 1913, and Mahoning also had a stop on the Cleveland and Mahoning Valley Railroad.
