God Bless Jug and Sonny
God Bless Jug and Sonny is a live jazz album by saxophonists Sonny Stitt and Gene Ammons. It was recorded on June 24, 1973, at the Left Bank Jazz Society’s Famous Ballroom in Baltimore, Maryland, and released in 2001 by Prestige. The performance lasts about 68 minutes. It marks a reunion of the two veterans. Critics said it isn’t as essential as their earlier collaborations, but it is still enjoyable for fans of Stitt and Ammons.
