2009 Russian Women's Football Championship
The 2009 Russian Women's Football Championship was the 18th season of Russia’s top women’s league. Seven teams played: Energiya Voronezh, ShVSM Izmailovo, WFC Rossiyanka, Ryazan VDV, Zvezda Perm, Lada Togliatti, and Zvezda Zvenigorod. Lada Togliatti and Zvezda Zvenigorod replaced the disbanded Nadezhda Noginsk and SKA Rostov. The season had 12 matchweeks from May 7 to October 29, 2009. Zvezda Perm won the title for the third year in a row, the first team to do so since the league began in 1992. Rossiyanka finished second and qualified for the Champions League. Lada Togliatti, the 2004 champion, was disbanded after Week 9.
