Vangelis Platellas
Vangelis Platellas (Greek: Βαγγέλης Πλατέλλας), born 1 December 1988 in Athens, is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a winger for Nea Ionia. He is 1.65 m tall and wears the number 10 shirt.
He began his career with Kallithea (2005–2011), then moved to Skoda Xanthi (2011–2013). In 2013, he joined AEK Athens, where in the 2013–14 season he made 25 appearances and scored 15 goals, plus several important cup goals. He stayed with AEK Athens until 2016, then played for Atromitos (2016–2017), Aris (2017–2018), and OFI (2018–2019). In 2019 he moved abroad to Neftçi Baku in Azerbaijan (2019–2020), before returning to Greece with AEL (2020–2021), Ionikos (2021), Xanthi (2021–2022), Ionikos again (2022–2023), and Eolikos (2023). He joined Nea Ionia in 2023, where as of 12 October 2023 he had 20 appearances and 10 goals.
Platellas has also been called up to the Greece national team for a Euro 2016 qualifier against Romania.
