MDCalc is a free online medical reference for health care professionals. It offers point-of-care tools like medical calculators, scoring systems, and algorithms, available on the web and as mobile apps. The tools are based on published research and written by physicians. Founded by emergency physicians Graham Walker and Joseph Habboushe, MD, MBA, MDCalc provides more than 500 calculators and other decision-support tools. The site launched in 2005, with an iOS app in 2016 and an Android app in 2017. A 2017 survey found that about 65% of U.S. attending physicians and 79% of U.S. resident physicians use MDCalc regularly.
