M. Nurullah Tuncer (born 1959 in Van, Turkey) is a theatre director, stage designer, and costume designer. He graduated from Mimar Sinan University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, in the Department of Stage and Costume Design, with both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. From 1985 to 2002 he was an academic at Mimar Sinan University in the Department of Stage and Visual Arts. Since 1985 he has worked with Istanbul City Theatres, contributing to more than 100 plays as a stage designer, costume designer and lighting designer. He has painted oil paintings since 1987 and has exhibited in Istanbul in 1990 and 1996. He has received many national and international theatre awards, and the plays he directed have been shown at many theatre festivals.
