Telly Leung (born January 3, 1980) is an American actor, singer and songwriter known for Broadway roles and his work on TV. He was born in New York City and grew up in a traditional Chinese family in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. He went to Stuyvesant High School, graduating in 1998, and earned a BFA in drama from Carnegie Mellon University.

Leung made his Broadway debut in 2002 in Flower Drum Song as part of the ensemble and an understudy for Wang Ta. He later appeared in the Roundabout Theatre’s revival of Pacific Overtures (2005), originated the role of Boq in Wicked’s Chicago company, and performed in Rent on Broadway. On television, he played Wes, a member of the Dalton Academy Warblers, on Fox’s Glee from 2010 to 2011. He also starred in the Broadway revival of Godspell at Circle in the Square in 2011.

His later stage work includes the world premiere of Allegiance at the Old Globe (2012) and its Broadway run at the Longacre Theatre (2015), as well as The World of Extreme Happiness at Goodman Theatre (2014) and its Manhattan Theatre Club production (2015). He led the Broadway production of Aladdin starting June 13, 2017. Leung directed Theatre Raleigh’s Yellow Face in 2022 and joined the cast of Warrior for Season 3 in 2022.

Musically, he released an EP, Getaway, in 2005, and his first solo LP, I’ll Cover You, in 2012. He has contributed to cast recordings for Godspell, Flower Drum Song, Pacific Overtures, Dear Edwina, and Wall to Wall Sondheim.

Leung is openly gay and married James Babcock in December 2016.
