Märta Eleonora Tikkanen, born Märta Cavonius on 3 April 1935 in Helsinki, Finland, is a Swedish-speaking Finnish writer. Her parents were professor Gösta Cavonius and Margit Stadius. She finished high school in 1953 and earned a Master of Arts in 1958 and a Master of Philosophy in 1961 from the University of Helsinki.

Tikkanen worked as a reporter for Hufvudstadsbladet from 1956 to 1961, taught Swedish at Drumsö svenska samskola from 1961 to 1966, and was the rector of Helsingfors svenska arbetarinstitut (the Swedish Adult Education Centre) from 1972 to 1980. She also wrote columns for Ilta-Sanomat (1972–1974) and Aftonbladet (1978–1979), and served on the board of Författarcentrum (1972–1974).

She was married first to Leif Ginman (1958–1962) and then to writer Henrik Tikkanen (1963–1984, his death). A film based on her book Manrape (Män kan inte våldtas) was released in 1978, directed by Jörn Donner. In 2020 she won the Moa Award.
