Heteroserica tridens is a small beetle from the Scarabaeidae family found in Madagascar. Adults are about 6 mm long. The pronotum (the shield behind the head) is extremely densely punctate, and the elytra (wing covers) are also densely punctate with very indistinct lines. Scientific classification: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Arthropoda; Class Insecta; Order Coleoptera; Family Scarabaeidae; Genus Heteroserica; Species tridens. The full name is Heteroserica tridens Frey, 1975.
