Love Me Now is a song by American singer John Legend. It’s the lead single from his fifth album, Darkness and Light, and it was released on October 7, 2016. The track blends soul, dancehall, and pop, and lasts about 3 minutes and 30 seconds. It was written by John Legend (John Stephens), Blake Mills, and John Ryan, with Mills and Ryan also producing the song. A music video directed by Nabil Elderkin was released on October 6, 2016, featuring couples from different cultures and including Chrissy Teigen and their daughter Luna. Legend performed the song on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The X Factor UK, the American Music Awards 2016, and The Voice season 11 finale with Wé McDonald. The song debuted at number 55 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the chart dated October 19, 2016, helped by about 35,000 digital copies sold in its first week.
