Time's Runnin' Out
Time's Runnin' Out is the sixth studio album by Brand Nubian. It was released on August 21, 2007, by Traffic Entertainment and The Orchard. The album was recorded in 1997–1998, before their 1998 album Foundation, and features production from Brand Nubian members Grand Puba and Lord Jamar, along with DJ Alamo, Lord Finesse, and Vance Wright. Some songs had already been released: "A Child Is Born" appeared on the Soul in the Hole soundtrack (1997) and "Time Is Running Out" appeared on the Slam soundtrack (1998). A Buckwild remix of "Rockin' It" was issued as a limited 12-inch single in 2000, with the D.I.T.C. track "Spend It" as the B-side. Grand Puba has said in an interview that this project helped land Brand Nubian a deal with Arista Records; after signing, they kept recording, which became Foundation. Most of the material remained unreleased until 2007. The album runs 57 minutes and 24 seconds and falls into the East Coast hip hop and conscious hip hop genres.
