Lotus tea is an herbal drink from Asia made by infusing different parts of the lotus plant. It can come from leaves, flowers, roots, seeds, fruit, or the inner part (plumule). Each type has its own flavor and brewing method.

- Lotus leaf tea: Use 6–12 g of dried leaves (15–20 g if fresh) in 600 ml water. Simmer on low heat to make 2–3 cups. Leaves are often heat-treated (steamed or roasted) before drying.
- Lotus flower tea: Use 4–8 g of dried petals in 600 ml water, or use a fresh whole flower. Brew to make 2–3 cups.
- Lotus fruit tea: Infuse dried lotus fruits in 600 ml water to make 2–3 cups.
- Lotus seed tea: Use 5–10 g of lotus seeds in 600 ml water. Simmer to make 2–3 cups.
- Lotus plumule tea: Made from lotus plumules; an infusion in hot water.
- Lotus root tea: Infuse dried lotus root slices or lotus root powder in hot water.
