Lords of Lyrics, also known as L.O.L., is an American West Coast hip hop duo from Los Angeles. The group features JP (Jerry L. Polidore) and Young Koop (J.K. Jackson). Early members included Damon “Twin” Rose and DJ Marq. Koop comes from South Central LA and JP was born in Houston, but the duo formed in Los Angeles in 1992 after meeting in high school at University High School. They were known for performing in LA’s underground hip hop scene at The Good Life Cafe on Crenshaw Boulevard.

Their first album, Do or Die, was released in August 1994 on Pyramid/Wilbro, produced by Twin Rose. They later joined Franchise Records in 1996 and released Heaven or Hell, produced by DJ Slip and NBA star Stanley Roberts. The album features the hit "Summer Breeze" and the track "Boom Boom Crack," which appeared in the 1996 movie The Last Days of Frankie the Fly soundtrack.

While they never had major U.S. chart success, L.O.L. built a strong international following, and Heaven or Hell is often considered a classic G-Funk album. After Franchise Records closed, the members pursued other projects. JP and Koop later reunited and released three independent albums, with the latest, Loyalty or Royalty, arriving on February 20, 2015.
