Siege of Syracuse (film)
Siege of Syracuse (Italian: L'assedio di Siracusa) is a 1960 Italian historical drama about the Roman siege of Syracuse during 213–212 BC, in the Second Punic War against Carthage. Directed by Pietro Francisci, the film's screenplay was written by Ennio De Concini, Giorgio Graziosi, and Pietro Francisci. Cinematography was by Carlo Carlini, editing by Nino Baragli, and music by Angelo Francesco Lavagnino. The film received mixed reviews, with critic Dave Sindelar calling it uneven and noting criticism of its historical accuracy.
