List of Northerns representative cricketers

This is a simple list of cricketers who have represented Northerns and its earlier names in South African domestic cricket. The team started as North Eastern Transvaal, making its senior Currie Cup debut in 1937–38 and playing List A cricket from 1970–71. It was renamed Northern Transvaal before the 1971–72 season and then Northerns before the 1996–97 season, continuing in first-class and List A cricket. Northern Transvaal B played in the Currie Cup Bowl from 1981–82, while Northerns B played in 1997–98 and 1998–99, the Bowl’s final seasons. Northerns began playing domestic Twenty20 cricket in 2011–12. The list includes players who appeared for North Eastern Transvaal (1937–38 to 1970–71), for Northern Transvaal and Northern Transvaal B (1971–72 to 1995–96), and for Northerns and Northerns B (1996–97 to present). It does not include players who only played for the Titans franchise (2003–04 to 2020–21), which was run by the Northerns and Easterns unions.
