Leapmotor C01
The Leapmotor C01 is a mid-size four-door sedan from Chinese carmaker Leapmotor. It’s available as a fully electric car and as a plug-in hybrid, built in Jinhua, Zhejiang, China, and has been on sale since 2023.
What it is
- A sibling to Leapmotor’s C11 SUV, sharing the same platform and a low drag coefficient of 0.226 for better efficiency.
- Interior features a triple-screen layout with a 12.8-inch center touchscreen (Qualcomm SA8155P) and 10.25-inch displays for the instrument cluster and other screens.
Powertrains
- EV version: single electric motor rated at 200 kW (268 hp) or up to 400 kW (540 hp) in the dual-motor AWD version.
- AWD version: dual motors, up to 400 kW and 720 Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h in about 3.7 seconds.
- EREV version (plug-in hybrid): adds a front 1.5-liter petrol engine (up to 70 kW) while the electric motor remains the same as the EV version.
Batteries and range
- EV battery options: 61.4–82.5 kWh NMC with a cell-to-chassis design; ultra-long-range version uses a 90 kWh pack.
- Range: roughly 500 km to 717 km on the CLTC cycle (depending on battery size).
- EREV battery: 43.7 kWh.
Dimensions and weight
- Wheelbase: 2,930 mm; length: 5,050 mm; width: 1,902 mm; height: 1,509 mm.
- Curb weight: about 1,885–2,150 kg.
