Kristen Parker is a character from the A Nightmare on Elm Street films. She is a Springwood, Ohio high school student born in 1969. In Dream Warriors (the third film), she is a co-protagonist and a member of the “Dream Warriors”—seven teens who can fight Freddy Krueger in their dreams and can also pull others into those dreams. Kristen has athletic dream abilities and can bring people into dreams with her.

In Dream Warriors, played by Patricia Arquette, Kristen joins with other teens who have nightmare encounters with a terrifying bogeyman. Nancy Thompson (from the first film) helps them understand that Freddy Krueger is haunting their dreams because of past murders. The group uses dream-sharing to rescue their friends from Freddy. By the end, Freddy seems defeated in the dream world, and Kristen survives the events of the film.

For The Dream Master (the following film), Kristen is recast as Tuesday Knight. She returns to a normal life but still has ominous dream visits from Freddy. She becomes romantically involved with classmate Rick Johnson and befriends his sister Alice. Freddy returns and starts murdering Kristen’s friends in the dream world. As the danger grows, Kristen tries to warn and protect those around her, but she is ultimately killed by Freddy in a boiler-room scene. Before dying, she passes her dream-connecting abilities to Alice, helping her friend become the new fighter against Freddy.

Beyond the films, Kristen has appeared in related merchandise and comics, and her story is often discussed as a key part of the Dream Warriors arc. Patricia Arquette’s performance in Dream Warriors is widely praised, and Tuesday Knight’s portrayal in The Dream Master is noted for bringing a stronger-willed take to the character.
